AMLT Staff

Michael Pratt, Sunlit House Maintenance Specialist (Tribal Member)

Why did you want to work for AMLT / why are you doing this work?

The reason I’m working for AMLT is that it gives me a sense of belonging to the area and I get to be apart of something that can make a difference in the community, also the tribe. I’m able to learn about tribal history and the local ecology. It’s fulfilling to engage in learning activities out in the state parks and blm properties where we can observe nature and archaeological sites.

What from your whole life's experiences are you bringing to this role?

My work ethic is rooted in hard labor and is what drives me in my current job. Having a background in carpentry and home/ property repair type projects allow me to assess and resolve a wide range of problems. I also have a work history of professional gardening/ farming and forest management, all skills that I implement regularly for AMLT.

Where are you from?

I’m from Central California and North Idaho.
