Lisa Carrier, Director of Operations (Tribal Member)

Why did you want to work for AMLT / why are you doing this work?

Being able to have a purpose driven career in any capacity for our Tribe was a dream I never imagined to be in my lifetime. Now having the opportunity to work for the Land Trust every day where we are focused on our four principles of restoration, research, conservation and stewardship that impacts all our relations; people, animals, insects, fish, plants today and beyond is an honor. We are fulfilling the dreams of our ancestors and influencing a better future in the lives of our next generations.

What from your whole life's experiences are you bringing to this role?

Through several decades of leading teams personally and professionally my goal with AMLT is to solidify our long-term sustainability and growing capacity based on our strategic objectives by cultivating teamwork, personal development, sense of community with solid organizational processes and high standards through the lens of my Tribe's cultural values and practices.

Where are you from?

I grew up, being influenced and nurtured in the beautiful, multi-cultured East Bay. After many years of living in various States I now reside in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
